Composites Europe 2018 - STFI with innovations in textile lightweight construction
The Saxon Textile Research Institute e.V. (STFI) presents itself again this year at Composites Europe in Stuttgart. From 6th to 8th November, the STFI will be presenting innovations in the fields of textile lightweight construction and fiber composites at the joint stand of the "AlliaAllianz Textiler Leichtbau" (ATL). Exhibits on current research and development projects will be exhibited at the ATL stand in Hall 9 Stand C08. Highlights of the fair presentation are e.g. Carbon spacer fabric, the use of hemp bast fiber for fiber composites, sensor-integrated textile reinforcement, as well as nonwovens and secondary rovings made from recycled carbon fibers. Further exhibits include various fiber composite components made from recycled carbon fibers, samples of nonwoven draping tests, carbon fiber knit double T-girders and a rCF-PA hybrid non-woven bicycle saddle demonstrator.
With the new positioning of the exhibition stand in Hall 9, focusing on "Technologies, Machines & Systems, Raw Materials", the "Allianz Textiler Leichtbau" intends to sharpen its portfolio as an exhibitor and address targeted customers and potential partners. The focal points of the 13th European Trade Fair & Forum for Composites, Technology and Applications are state-of-the-art production and processing technologies, i.a. with a focus on lightweight construction concepts and automotive applications.
Our local staff will gladly provide you with information about the core competencies and research priorities of the STFI and advise you on possible project cooperation. We are looking forward to your visit.
