Clothing and equipment for personal protection

They form the final barrier against external influences and hazards. These hazards may be mechanical, chemical, thermal, optical or even acoustic in nature. Personal protective equipment (PPE), ESD clothing, workwear and military protective clothing are suitable solutions in this context.

Protection against burglary, theft and vandalism

Sensor-monitored window and door grilles with active alarm systems, highly cut- and puncture-resistant tarpaulin fabric, as well as anti-counterfeiting measures, e.g. through the use of pigments or RFID technology.

Securing systems for mobile transport vehicles

They must meet the most stringent requirements under adverse conditions. These include, amongst other things, load-securing nets and straps, as well as lifting ropes used in aviation, rail and road transport, and airbag fabric.

Protective textiles against external environmental influences

These help to minimise far-reaching economic and social damage caused by erosion, flooding, fires and noise. The range of such products extends from building construction – for example, through high-temperature-resistant separating layers – to the geotextile sector, for example, through reinforcement grids in soil and asphalt applications.

Machinery and plant protection

This is achieved through systems with passive or active operational and protective functions, such as laser safety devices, robot covers or fire blankets for battery fires.
