Laser bonding of topologically structured non-woven fabrics

The aim of the project was to further develop a textile technology for flat semi-finished products made from staple fibres with a load-optimised topological distribution of material. The successful achievement of the project’s objective has resulted in the creation of a new technology for consolidating non-woven fabrics, as well as the ability to manufacture textile semi-finished products with load-optimised properties, which achieve a significant reduction in mass and a precise distribution of mass.
