Review: 6th Exchange of Experiences on Exhaust Air Purification
The sixth Exchange of Experience on Exhaust Air Purification of the Sächsisches Textilforschungsinstitut e.V. (STFI) took place on September 6, 2023 in Chemnitz. With a total of 41 participants, the event was again held as a hybrid event. A total of seven presentations were given during the event. The main topics were references to guidelines and regulations such as the BREF process (Best Available Techniques Reference or Best Available Techniques Reference Document) and its impact on the textile industry or the revised BREF Textile Industry, experiences with the implementation of the new TA-Luft from the point of view of a technical authority as well as the use of energy-efficient technologies such as heat recovery, UV light and plasma in exhaust air purification. In the subsequent panel discussion, representatives from industry, associations and authorities openly and without ideology discussed current key topics, problems in industry and the need to focus on risk-, fact- and science-based as well as economic solutions. This year's Exchange of Experience on Exhaust Air Purification was accompanied by a trade exhibition, in which three exhibitors showed their products and services.
