Knitted, active laser protection gloves

Working with (hand-held) laser systems in the spectral range poses considerable potential hazards for operators. In particular, there is a risk of injury to the hands due to serious burns. Suitable protective gloves that are comfortable to wear do not yet exist on the market.

The aim of the research project was to develop user-friendly, knitted, single-layer, active laser protection gloves that are suitable for industrial and medical applications on laser systems in the spectral range of near-infrared radiation.
