Many companies cannot adequately teach parts of the training framework curriculum. This is because the requirements in the company are different and therefore the necessary equipment is not available.

In order to enable scheduled training in these cases, the STFI offers various modules and has been listed as a joint training partner in the field of textiles and clothing with the Chemnitz Chamber of Industry and Commerce since the beginning of this year.

We support trainees specifically in the field of textile chemistry and not only give them the opportunity to consolidate theory from vocational school, but also to actively and practically apply the knowledge they have acquired.

From handling hazardous substances, carrying out quantitative fibre analyses to determining harmful substances on textiles, we teach the requirements in the training framework curriculum theoretically and practically in the following three learning fields:

• Examining the structure and properties of water and liquors
• Carrying out quantitative analyses
• Examining substances qualitatively and quantitatively

We offer this in a two-week course. We recommend participation in a third week to deepen and consolidate the acquired knowledge and skills.
