Review futureTEX – Future model for the textile industry
futureTEX is an interdisciplinary competence network of industry and research partners. It supports the transformation of the tradition-rich textile industry in the age of digitalisation into a sustainable industrial with technical textiles (TechTex) as its foundation. All activities within the framework of futureTEX aim to strengthen Germany's position as the world market leader in textile machinery manufacturing and to further pave the way to a leading global position in technical textiles by 2025.
The project, which was funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research as part of the "Twenty20 – Partnership for Innovation" programme, came to an end at the end of last year. Since its start in 2014, more than 30 research projects have been launched to make a decisive contribution to the transformation from the traditional textile industry to the TechTex industry in Germany.
In our first STFI webTalk in 2023, our colleague Dirk Zschenderlein, Head of Intelligent Production Systems, Modelling and Process Management at STFI, introduces the research project and informs about its beginnings as well as milestones. And at the end is the question: What remains? We will conclude with an outlook and what influence futureTEX will have on future projects.
This STFI webTalk will be broadcast on 15 February 2023 from 10:00 to 10:30.
Participation is free of charge. This webTalk will be held in German!
We look forward to seeing you.
